Frequently asked questions

BiLD Law Journal is a double blind peer reviewed journal and it always follows the standard requirements of double blind peer review process.

BiLD Law Journal strongly recommends that you carefully read through the Submission Guidelines before submitting your manuscript. All manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word document electronically at submission@bildbd.com

Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement (you will find attached with Call for Papers) that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere and that the Author(s) will pay $100 (one hundred dollar) only as publication cost of the manuscript if his/her manuscript is finally selected by the editorial board for publication. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs will become the property of Bangladesh Institute of Legal Development. Manuscripts must be no more than 35 single-spaced pages (maximum 15,000 words) inclusive of abstract, references, illustrations, acknowledgements, tables and figures. The abstract should not exceed 250 words with a list of up to five keywords. A short biography of each author has also to be included alongwith the manuscript.

BiLD Law Journal always works with a specific scientific method for reviewing all of its received manuscripts. The journal assures sixty days of double blind peer review process and accepted papers are published within one month of acceptance. Once a manuscript is submitted to us, we want to be confirmed primarily that whether the manuscript covers the desired arena of the journal. Then we check similarity index and prepare originality report and want to be further confirmed that whether the manuscript is already published or not. We do not tolerate upper than twenty percent similarity index under Turnitin Originality Report and also do not accept already published manuscript by any means. BiLD Law Journal welcomes original research work rather some descriptive writings. In the meantime, a grammar checking report is prepared for the concern editor and reviewer. If we find these requirements okay then we walk towards formatting the whole manuscript in our own style. Firstly our editorial panel edit each manuscript for two times and give the author(s) scope of necessary modification. After expiry of a certain time we engage some another specific editors to deal with the relatively weak manuscripts and he/she edits the assigned manuscript and gives the Author(s) scope to modify further. Good manuscripts are directly forwarded and assigned before one or two reviewers and after discussing about topic of the manuscript we engage our honourable reviewers for higher review. Furthermore our observers play some role by advising which manuscript is best to be selected, what need to be developed, etc.

Till now the journal has no impact rating but it is working for achieving that goal.

BiLD Law Journal has already applied to Scopus Authority to include the journal in their indexing list but is yet under review process. You can check the status of the review process here
