Mr. Mostafa Hosain is currently serving as Assistant Professor at School of Law, BRAC University, Bangladesh. Previously, he was teaching at Eastern University, Bangladesh. Mr. Hosain completed LL.B (Hon’s) from University of Dhaka and then pursued LL.M. and M.Phil from South Asian University, New Delhi, India. For outstanding performance and being toppers in LL.M class, he was awarded SAARC Gold Medal 2013. Mr. Hosain served as ‘Guest Faculty’ for two years in the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL) from where he pursued Post Graduate Diploma in ‘Interna1tional Law and Diplomacy’. He published around a dozen of book chapters, journal articles from different international and national reputed publishing houses including Routledge (upcoming), Springer International Publishing (Heidelberg), Torkel Opsahl Academic EPublisher (Brussels) and Cambridge Scholars Publishing (U.K). He is a regular contributor to national newspapers on cutting edge legal issues. Mr. Hosain is an enrolled Advocate at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Dhaka Judge Court.
Mr. Hosain has been appointed as a visiting Assistant Professor at Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal for the tenure of 2019-2021. He is the instructor of legal research and methodology course at Brac University’s School of Law. His research interest includes law of the sea, international criminal law, jurisprudence and international humanitarian law. His recent focus is on ocean law and policy with particular interest in ABNJ mechanism. For details visit here.
