Prof. Dr. Muhammad Munir, PhD is professor at the Department of Law, International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He had been Vice President Administration, Finance, and Planning at the IIUI March 2017 – June 2020; Director General Shari‘ah Academy, from June 2015 – July 2018 and Chairman Department of Law 2009 – 2014. He was awarded Best University Award by the Higher Education Commission (Government of Pakistan) for the year 2003 and Outstanding Research Paper Award for the year 2005-2006 and 2011. He is jurist-consult for the Federal Shariat Court in Pakistan. He has published over 50 research papers on a variety of topics most of which are available in SSRN.
