Dr. Saira Rahman Khan is a professor of Law at BRAC University. She joined the University in 2005 and is currently responsible for teaching Equity and Specific Relief, Criminal Law and International Human Rights Law. Dr. Khan completed her undergraduate and graduate Law studies from the University of Dhaka and her PhD in Socio-Legal Studies from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK, where she received first the Overseas Research Students Award and then the Chevening Scholarship. She is the author of a book on the socio-legal status of women in Bangladesh, of several journal chapters and columns and of reports for international NGOs.
