A two-day long workshop on Land Laws, Corporate Documentation & Litigation was held on 22 to 24 November. The event was initiated and organized by Bangladesh Institute of Legal Development (BiLD). Md Abul Kalam Azad, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh & Chairman of BiLD was the chief discussant of the workshop. Other discussants were – Md. Golam Mawla (Director of BiLD), Md. Rafiqul Islam (Head of Documentation of Azad & Company & Director of BiLD), Sk. Eusuf Rahman (Head of High Court Litigation, Azad & Company), Syeda Zarin Kabir (Member of Documentation of Azad & Company & Director of BiLD), Minhaz Pavel (Member of Litigation, Azad & Company) & Md. Shimul Hossain (Director of BiLD). The event was anchored by Sorower Nizami, Chief Executive of BiLD.
In several sessions, the discussants thoroughly discussed the provisions of land law, the basic concept of vetting, documentation, common mistakes by lawyers and procedures of Artha Rin mamla.
An MCQ and Questionnaire session was also arranged for the participants.
The two-day long workshop ended with a ceremony where, Md Abul Kalam Azad, Chairman of BiLD awarded certificate of appreciation to the participants.
